Tottenham Hotspur have extended their heartfelt condolences to interim head coach Igor Tudor following the death of his father, Mario Tudor.
The 47-year-old former Croatia international, who earned 55 caps between 1997 and 2006, did not attend post-match media duties after Spurs’ 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, citing personal reasons.
“Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Igor Tudor's father, Mario,” the club said in a statement. “Our thoughts and condolences go out to Igor and his family during this incredibly difficult time.”

Tudor, a former Juventus manager and player, was appointed Tottenham’s interim boss until the end of the season on February 13. Under his brief tenure, Spurs have struggled in the Premier League, winning only sporadically and currently sitting just one point above the relegation zone with seven matches remaining.
The team has recorded four losses and a single draw during his spell in charge. Tottenham’s next fixture will be against Sunderland on Sunday, April 12.
