Movie Synopsis
Based on the devastating true story of the 2008 terrorist attacks on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India, Hotel Mumbai vividly recounts the harrowing siege from the perspective of both victims and heroes. Renowned chef Hemant Oberoi and a brave waiter named Arjun risk everything to keep terrified guests safe. As the heavily armed militants systematically hunt down the trapped occupants, ordinary hotel staff and desperate families must display extraordinary courage, unity, and resilience to survive the night.
IVIEWX Company Review
Hotel Mumbai is an intensely visceral, claustrophobic masterpiece that honors human resilience without reducing real-world tragedy into cheap Hollywood entertainment. Anthony Maras balances unbearable tension with human dignity, anchor-points elevated by Dev Patel's profoundly moving performance. The film doesn't look away from the sheer horror of the event, yet its ultimate focus remains beautifully locked onto the selfless staff members who placed their guests' lives above their own. It is a stunning, heartbreaking tribute to survival.
