Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) combines fantasy adventure, action and family storytelling in a visually rich journey through the fictional world of Kumandra. Kelly Marie Tran voices Raya, a determined warrior who has spent years preparing to confront the threat that destroyed her homeland. Awkwafina voices Sisu, the last dragon, whose playful personality provides a strong contrast to Raya's guarded nature. The journey introduces Raya to a colorful group of companions, including Boun, Tong and the young Noi. Each character brings a different personality and skill to the mission while helping Raya understand the importance of cooperation. The movie's central theme revolves around trust and the challenge of bringing divided communities together. Raya initially struggles to trust others, but her journey gradually forces her to reconsider the way she sees the people around her.
